MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A company in Manitowoc is adding more than 100 jobs.
Wisconsin Heavy Fabrication is expanding operations and hiring more than 100 employees at its Manitowoc facility.
The company will host on-site hiring events offering open interviews for a wide range of skilled and entry-level manufacturing positions.
Wisconsin Heavy Fabrication was established following an asset acquisition of the facility, formerly known as Broadwind Heavy Fabrications, Inc. by IES Infrastructure in the fall of 2025. Since that time, IES Infrastructure has made substantial investments in the Manitowoc facility, positioning the company for long-term growth through expanded production capacity and the launch of new product lines. The expansion includes a new metal enclosures product line, bringing stable, long-term manufacturing jobs to the local community and reinforcing Manitowoc’s strong industrial workforce. Wisconsin Heavy Fabrication will maintain service to its current customers and continue delivering heavy fabrication services in conjunction with the introduction of the new product line.
“We’ve made a significant investment in expanding production capabilities at Wisconsin Heavy Fabrication needed to support future growth,” said Mike Rice, President of IES Infrastructure. “Now we’re focused on building a strong team of employees who want reliable work, competitive benefits, and opportunities to grow their careers right here in Manitowoc.”
The hiring event is set for Thursday, May 28 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Friday, May 29 from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 101 S 16th Street in Manitowoc (former Broadwind location).
The company is currently recruiting for a variety of positions, including assemblers, welders, final assemblers, painters, press brake operators, and additional manufacturing roles. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Wisconsin Heavy Fabrication’s leadership team, tour the facility, participate in on-the-spot interviews, and learn more about career paths within the company.
