KIEL, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A man and a woman were arrested in a Kiel drug bust within 1,000 feet of a school.
On Friday, authorities carried out a search warrant in the 800 block of 6th Street.
A 27-year-old man and a 53-year-olw woman were taken into custody.
Based on evidence seized during the search warrant, investigators believe the man was a significant supplier of illegal narcotics to individuals within the community.
Police say they are recommending the following charges against the man: possession with intent to deliver marijuana, maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of O.C. spray by a felon, felony bail jumping and misdemeanor bail jumping. Additionally, a penalty enhancer for offenses committed within 1,000 feet of a school was applied to several of the charges.
Charges will also be referred to the Manitowoc County District Attorney’s Office for the woman.
