(WNFL) – The key games in northeast Wisconsin for Week 3 are on Friday night.
Pulaski at Bay Port – Both teams come into the conference season opener with 2-0 records.
Pulaski has rushed for 502 yards in its first 2 games with Bohdan Schmidt leading the way with 204 yards and 3 touchdowns while Bay Port has rushed for 528 yards.
The leading rusher for Bay Port is Ryder Timmerman who has carried the ball 15 ties for 165 yards.
Through the air, Bay Port has a huge advantage, completing 26-of-35 passes for 457 yards and 4 touchdowns. Jackson Otradovec is the leading receiver for Bay Port with 12 receptions for 190 yards.
Pulaski has not passed as much, completing 11-of-18 passes for 70 yards. Trentyn Linz has caught 4 balls for 44 yards for Pulaski.
Asher Fontaine leads Bay Port with 18 tackles while Pulaski’s leader is Seth Telford with 11 tackles.
Overall, Pulaski has 18 tackles for loss and 5 sacks while Bay Port has 13 tackles for loss and 3 sacks in 2 games.
West De Pere at De Pere – The Cross River Rivalry is a great game to start the conference season with for these 2 teams.
Both are 2-0 and both have won their first 2 games convincingly.
West De Pere has defeated Sun Prairie East 42-20 and Appleton North 35-7 while De Pere has defeated Fond du Lac 38-19 and Manitowoc 47-0.
On the ground, Cooper Schabo leads West De Pere with 245 yards rushing on 30 carries. Overall, West De Pere has rushed for 388 yards with a 5.6 yards per carry average.
The Redbirds, on the other hand, are led by Liam Fieber with 143 yards rushing on 23 carries. De Pere has 341 yards rushing on 50 carries for a 6.8 yards per carry average.
Through the air, West De Pere has the advantage.
Andrew Griesen has completed 42-of-63 passes for 558 yards and 6 touchdowns for West De Pere.
For De Pere, Ryland Nowak has completed 23-of-29 passes for 315 yards and 4 touchdowns. Max Goebel is Nowak’s favorite target with 14 receptions for 207 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Colton Neuens has caught 13 passes for West De Pere for 169 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Braylon Stegall and Cayden Cavanaugh are tackling machines for their 2 teams.

Seymour at Fox Valley Lutheran – Seymour comes into the Bay Conference opener at 2-0 with a 21-13 win over Oconto Falls and a 27-14 win over Waupun.
Fox Valley Lutheran is 1-1 with a 42-0 win over Kewaunee and a 40-15 loss to Little Chute.
Offensively, Seymour is a more ground-oriented team with 473 yards rushing and a 6.6 per carry average. Greg Salzman is the leading carrier with 322 yards and 3 touchdowns on 34 carries.
Fox Valley Lutheran’s leading rusher is their quarterback Braden Heiges who had 179 yards rushing on 13 attempts.
Heiges has thrown the ball well, completing 23-of-38 passes for 318 yards,. Jacoby Dobberstein is his favorite receiver with 6 catches for 108 yards.
Seymour hasn’t thrown the ball much, just 14 attempts and 7 completions in 2 games. Kyle Neppl has tossed the ball for 138 yards. Salzman has caught 4 of those passes for 60 yards.
Brayden VanDeHei is the leading tackler for Seymour with 22 tackles and 2 interceptions.
Braden Heiges is the leading tackler for FVL with 22 tackles and 2 for losses.
Kaukauna at Kimberly – A must win game for both teams?
In addition to being a huge rivalry game, Kaukauna comes in with a 1-1 record after beating West Allis Hale 41-0 and losing to Notre Dame 35-8. Kimberly is 0-2 with a 27-12 loss to Hamilton and a 28-13 loss to Bay Port.
Kaukauna is led by Ryan Carrel. The junior quarterback has completed 23-of-50 passes for 275 yards. He has also rushed for 105 yards and 5 TDs. Muhammad Jobe is Kaukauna’s leading rusher with 150 yards on 16 carries. Brady Schwalbach is the prime receiver for Carrel with 7 catches for 81 yards.
Kimberly’s offense which has struggled to establish itself is led at quarterback by Rylan Welch who has completed 21-of-32 passes for 176 yards. Maddux Hermus is the leading running back with 32 carries for 105 yards. With Welch out against Bay Port, Hermus stepped in at quarterback and completed 12-of-30 passes for 118 yards. Brecken Kriese has caught 6 passes for 80 yards.
Defensively, Laythan Hurst has 19 tackles including 3 for losses for Kaukauna. Reed Beck has 21 tackles including 1 for a loss for Kimberly.
Green Bay Southwest at Appleton West – The non-conference opponents for this pair has not been the toughest but still both teams are 2-0 heading into conference play.
Green Bay Southwest beat Green Bay East 21-12 and Sheboygan South 33-13. Appleton West beat Sheboygan South 44-8 and Green Bay East 40-18.
The Trojans are led by Traevaughn Weaver who has rushed for 443 yards and 6 touchdowns on 73 carries.
Appleton West’s Charlie Blevins has carried the ball 37 times for 413 yards.
Throwing the ball, Southwest’s Alex Broder is 9-of-24 for 200 yards. Carsen Zeuske has caught 2 balls for 95 yards.
Connor Navis is an effective passer for Appleton West, completing 23-of-40 passes for 365 yards. His favorite target? Jeryl Munes, a junior, has 3 receptions for 108 yards.
Leading the way: Notre Dame’s Kingston Allen is easily northeast Wisconsin’s leading rusher with 911 yards through 2 games with Weaver next with 443 yards and Appleton West’s Blevins third with 413 yards.
Green Bay Preble’s Harrison Selk is the top quarterback with 633 yards passing. West De Pere’s Griesen is next with 558 yards. AJ Pheifer of Hortonville is third with 488 yards.
The leading receiver in yardage is NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy’s Cashe Martin. The junior has 288 receiving yards. Preble’s Tyler Cleven is next with 261 yards.
