DE PERE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — More than 100 volunteers are out in De Pere, finishing strong on the last day of Rock the Block.
The three-day revitalization effort on the city’s west side Tree Streets started Wednesday.
Habitat for Humanity volunteers were out Friday, putting the finishing touches on landscaping and exterior home improvements before the incoming rain.
Over the course of three days, approximately 325 volunteers contributed more than 1,500 volunteer hours in support of 28 local homeowners.
In addition to residential revitalization efforts, volunteers and community partners completed a special community mural on the side of the baseball field dugout at Kelly Danen Park.
This is the third-annual Rock the Block neighborhood revitalization event in the city of De Pere.
