William Anderson (Marinette Co. Jail)
MARINETTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – William Anderson was convicted Monday of child pornography possession charges after he paid women in the Philippines to send him explicit photos of young girls.
Anderson, 60, pleaded guilty to three possession counts. Another 12 counts were dismissed, court records show.
Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 4.
The investigation into Anderson began in January, when detectives received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). Police obtained Anderson’s electronic correspondence for a two-year period.
“I reviewed the messages and determined “Arracziv” is an adult female from the Philippines. Anderson has a online sexual relationship with Arracziv. Anderson sent hundreds of pornographic images and videos of himself, depicting nudity and masturbation. Anderson sends money to Arracziv frequently to allegedly support her and her child who is identified at the beginning of the messages as a two-year-old female. Anderson makes countless comments asking Arracziv to show children his pornographic images and videos,” the complaint states.
Police found more than 1,500 explicit images on various devices, the criminal complaint states.
The complaint also identifies other Filipino women Anderson allegedly sent money to in exchange for explicit photos of children.
“Anderson stated he sends money to women in the Philippines but denied the exchange of money was for child pornography. Anderson stated he has never been paid for child pornography content. Anderson stated he has only ever shared pictures and videos of himself online to others,” the complaint states.
Prosecutors note more charges could be filed, but appear to be aiming for a plea deal.
“Due to the amount of images found on the defendant’s electronics, the State has chosen at this time only to issue 15 counts. The State reserves the right to charge additional counts for the additional images if this case does not resolve,” the complaint states.
