(GREEN BAY PACKERS) – The Green Bay Packers, along with Travel Wisconsin, the University of Wisconsin, the Western Collegiate Hockey Association and TEG Sport today announced that college hockey will return to Lambeau Field for the first time since 2006 with a marquee men’s and women’s doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2027, for the Travel Wisconsin Frozen Tundra Faceoff.
The event will see the Wisconsin men’s hockey team face the Michigan Wolverines in a B1G matchup while the Badger women’s hockey squad will square off against the Ohio State Buckeyes, in two clashes rooted in longstanding rivalry and championship history that fit perfectly in Titletown.
Pre-sale tickets for the Travel Wisconsin Frozen Tundra Faceoff will be available on Wednesday, Sept. 9, with general on-sale taking place on Friday, Sept. 11. Fans can register for pre-sale here.

This showcase will bring three of college hockey’s most accomplished programs to one of the most iconic venues in all of sports. Wisconsin and Michigan enter the men’s matchup with 15 combined NCAA championships, while the women’s match features the two programs that have shaped the sport’s recent national title picture. The Wisconsin and Ohio State women’s programs have combined to win the last seven NCAA championships and have met in each of the last four national championship games, with the Badgers winning three and the Buckeyes claiming one.

Lambeau Field last welcomed hockey in 2006, when Wisconsin defeated Ohio State, 4-2, in the inaugural Frozen Tundra Hockey Classic. The 2027 doubleheader will be held during a February weekend in which no major events have ever taken place Lambeau Field, giving college hockey a rare opportunity to take center stage in Green Bay. Home to the NFL’s Green Bay Packers, the 81,041-seat Lambeau Field has hosted generations of memorable moments since opening in 1957, and in recent years has featured college football, international soccer and concert tours. This weekend, Lambeau Field will host Notre Dame and Wisconsin in a Shamrock Series Matchup.
