APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Applications are now open for groups that want to be part of the 55th Downtown Appleton Christmas Parade.
The City of Appleton Parades Committee is accepting applications for the parade, which will be held Nov. 24. The Downtown Appleton Christmas Parade is billed as the largest nighttime parade in the Midwest and annually draws about 80,000 spectators to downtown Appleton.
The parade will begin at 7 p.m. and move east on College Avenue from State Street to Drew Street.
“This year’s theme, Christmas Past, Present, and Future, celebrates the timeless magic, cherished traditions, and enduring joy of the season,” said Corey Otis, City of Appleton Parades Committee chairperson. “We encourage applicants to design festive decorations, imaginative floats, and spirited performances whether they look back with nostalgia or forward with wonder.”
Organizations interested in participating must complete and submit an official application by Oct. 1. Applications are available through the City of Appleton Parades website.
