With the price of beef these days, I’m always looking for ways to smoke delicious food without taking out a second mortgage on my house. This recipe cost me $15 worth of meat and was awesome.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- A couple packages of country style ribs (ideally from pork butt, not loin)
- Your favorite rub
- Your favorite sauce
Pretty straight forward and simple. Preheat the smoker to 225 degrees. Cube the ribs into 1 inch cubes. Toss in a binder, like mustard or a little vegetable oil, and then apply your favorite rub liberally. Spread out on a bradley rack, and into the smoker until they hit about 160-170 degrees, probably 3-4 hours.

Then put the ends into a foil pan and toss them in your favorite barbecue sauce and hit ’em with some more of that rub. Back onto the smoker at 250 degrees for another couple hours until they have a nice bark and reach that probe tender level.
A great quick, cheap, BBQ afternoon.
