(UW ATHLETICS) – Wisconsin women’s hockey will be adding Brynn Holventstot to the roster for the 2026-27 season, the program announced on Friday.
A native of Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin, the incoming freshman recently wrapped up her time with the AAA Madison Capitals program where she helped lead her team to a 2026 Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association state championship title.
Holvenstot attended the 2023 USA Hockey-BioSteel Girls 15 Player Development Camp and will be a dual-role player for the Badgers as both a forward and a defender.
“I’ve never felt a more overwhelming welcome at any college other than Wisconsin. Other than it being a family tradition to end up at Wisconsin, I have a love for Wisconsin because of growing up around campus, giving me a familiarity.” Holvenstot said. “I know the hockey program is one of the very best, and I am so proud to be a part of such a hard working, dedicated community, all the while being supported academically.”
The Badgers are back in action Sept. 25-26 as they open the season against St. Lawrence in Canton, New York.
