HARTLAND, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany has already received the state Republican party’s and President Donald Trump’s backing in the gubernatorial race. Tuesday, it’ll be the voters turn to officially decide who they will put on the November ballot.
Tiffany has previously said the endorsements put his campaign into general election mode.
Tiffany, a conservative from Minocqua, has campaigned on policies that reduce government regulation. A description of his campaign on his website reads in part:
As governor, he will fight every day for families, for farmers, and for the hardworking people who make this state great. He will take on the powerful, stand for the common-sense values we share, and deliver real results for every Wisconsinite.
Tiffany has served in the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Wisconsin’s 7th congressional district, since 2020.
Tiffany’s only opponent on the ballot is Andrew Manske.
The winner will face one of four Democrats still running in that party’s primary.
