Packers Hall of Fame Unveils “6 Degrees of Curly Lambeau”

The exhibit includes stories of how Lambeau recruited players from the Badgers to play for the Packers. There’s also a story about how he had a helping hand in getting Jim Crowley to play for the Fighting Irish. Crowley gained fame as one of the legendary “Four Horsemen,” and would later go on to coach another Packers great, former Head Coach Vince Lombardi.

At Friday’s unveiling, Packers Hall of Fame curator Brent Hensel said this exhibit couldn’t come at a better time.

With the University of Wisconsin and Notre Dame playing each other here Labor Day weekend and it just seemed like a natural fit with the six degrees of Curly Lambeau and all of the connections that he has to the two universities.
