A native of Garnerville, New York, Boyd put together a historic showing for the Badgers during the 2025-26 season, earning second-team All-Big Ten honors. The point guard averaged 20.7 points per game, becoming the first player in Madison to average over 20 points per game since 1995. He also added 4.3 assists per game and 3.8 rebounds per contest.
