(ST NORBERT COMMUNICATIONS) DE PERE – St. Norbert College had four baseball student-athletes named All-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference selections, announced today by the conference office.
Senior infielder Will DeBruin and senior pitcher Jace Midbon, along with junior catcher Tyler Dean and junior pitcher Cooper Dykes were the four selected.
DeBruin, a Seymour native and graduate, batted .361 with 48 hits, eight doubles, two triples, seven home runs and 27 RBIs in 38 starts. He drew 21 hit by pitches this season, and now holds a program record for the most in that category. On defense, he had 37 putouts along with 73 assists.
Midbon, a Kaukauna native and Freedom High School graduate, posted a 4-3 record with one save in 71 innings pitched in 12 appearances, 10 of them starts. He struck out 54 batters with a 3.68 ERA, with his opposition hitting a career-low .255 against him. He was named the conference’s pitcher of the week one time after throwing a no-hitter against Maranatha Baptist.
Dean, a Hinsdale, Ill., native, and Benet Academy High School graduate, batted .321 with 45 hits, 14 doubles, one triple, five home runs and 23 RBIs in 39 starts. He recorded 165 putouts with 36 assists on defense.
Dykes, a Eau Claire native and Regis High School graduate, went 2-1 in 14 appearances and 35.1 innings pitched. He posted a 5.09 ERA and struck out 24 batters.
