GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — The City of Green Bay is updating how their social media pages are used.
Going forward, the city says their pages will continue to share news, updates, events, and important information; though comments and direct messaging will no longer be available on posts and pages.
The city went on to say that “Social media was never designed to be a reliable way to communicate with your local government, and we want to do better than that,” adding that they want to make sure messages, questions, and feedback from community members gets to the right people and receives a timely response.
Here are some ways to contact the city directly:
- Visit greenbaywi.gov for department contacts, services, and information
- Submit a service request to Green Bay Services anytime at greenbaywi.gov/gbs
- Email any department directly through the online directory at greenbaywi.gov
- Call (920) 448-3000 to reach City Hall
These channels are monitored by City staff and are the fastest way to get answers, report concerns, or share feedback.
The city says their social media pages will “continue to be a great resource for staying informed about what is happening in Green Bay.”
