(GREEN BAY ATHLETICS) – GREEN BAY, Wis – It was a successful Oneida Nation Celebration between Green Bay men’s basketball and Haskell Indian Nations, as Preston Ruedinger poured in a career-high 30 points to lead the Phoenix to a 95-55 win. The win is the third straight for GB, who moved to 4-5 on the year.
Ramel Bethea helped out with a career-high 15 points, eight rebounds, and two steals. C.J. O’Hara chipped in with 13 points and six rebounds.
The Fighting Indians were led by three players in double figures. Trey Gains scored 17, Ryan Hawkins scored 11, and Evan Puryear chipped in with 10.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Green Bay offense wasted no time, going ahead 9-0 to start the game, a run that was finished off by a bucket from Maruan Cicic with 16:44 left in the first half. The Phoenix maintained its early lead, outscoring Haskell by four the rest of the first half, going up 39-26 going into the locker room.
Following intermission, Green Bay continued to widen its lead, thanks in large part to Ruedinger’s 20 second-half points. Four of his six threes came in the second half. GB outscored Haskell 56-29 in the second half and secured the 99-55 win.
