(UW ATHLETICS) CHICAGO – The Wisconsin women’s basketball team (5–1) extended its winning streak to four games with a 74–53 road victory at UIC.
With the win, head coach Robin Pingeton officially claims the best start by a first-year head coach in program history, opening her inaugural season at 5–1.
Wisconsin shot 44.4% (26–63) from the field, 48.1% (13–27) from three, and 71.4% (5–7) at the free-throw line. The 13 made threes are tied for the second-best single-game performance in program history.
UIC finished at 38.6% (22–57) from the field, 20.0% (5–15) from deep, and 50.0% (6–12) at the line.
• Lily Krahn scored a career-high 25 points and recorded a career-best nine made field goals.
• The Badgers’ depth shined, outscoring the Flames’ bench 51–7 for a season-best margin.
