(WTAQ-WLUK) — Cellcom customers will be paying less on their bills in July.
The company announced Friday it is adjusting users’ invoices to compensate for the recent service outage that spanned approximately two weeks, affecting the ability to make phone calls and send text messages.
The outage was caused by a cyber incident.
“Thank you for standing by us. As a gesture of goodwill, we’re applying an automatic adjustment for your outage time on July bills – no action needed,” a statement from Cellcom reads.
Eligible customers can also activate a “Double the Downtime” offer to receive a second bill adjustment equal to outage time.
And because our care goes beyond the expected, eligible customers can also activate our Double the Downtime offer — a second adjustment equal to your outage time, getting you to twice the value of your downtime.
“This is our way of saying thank you and moving forward together with care and gratitude,” Cellcom said.
The company says services are performing well for most customers. Despite strong improvements, some intermittent issues may still occur as systems continue to stabilize and restoration efforts are completed.
