Trina Brown (Dodge Co. Jail)
WAUPUN, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Milwaukee woman was arrested after allegedly making hundreds of threats toward employees of the Waupun Correctional Institution.
Trina Brown, 32, was taken into custody Monday following a search warrant where electronic devices were seized.
Investigators say multiple prison employees received hundreds of communications in the form of calls, texts, and emails that were both threatening and harassing in nature. The threats caused disruptions to operations at Waupun Correctional Institution, and law enforcement was needed to increase its presence near victims’ homes.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says Brown faces multiple charges including stalking, terroristic threats, unlawful use of a telephone and unlawful use of a computerized communication system.
No formal charges have been filed against Brown.
