KAUKAUNA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — More than 50 residents were displaced in Kaukauna after strong thunderstorms left behind tree and property damage.
A few homes had part of the roof ripped off.
The city says around 9 a.m. Wednesday, the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), an organization of trained volunteers, began documenting damage around the city. The Red Cross is working with those who are displaced. There are no known injuries at this time.
Those without power may visit the Community Room at the Street, Park and Recreation building at 207 Reaume Avenue to charge their devices.
There’s also thousands of other customers in Northeast Wisconsin without power this morning.

Pioneer Elementary School in Ashwaubenon is closed Wednesday because it doesn’t have power.
WPS says it has restored power to about 27,000 customers since the storms passed through. Spokesperson Matt Cullen says crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power to its remaining 10,000 customers without power.
WPS says if you see a downed power line, do not touch it, even if you don’t see sparks. It’s also not a good idea to try to remove any debris on the downed line. Stay at least 25 feet away from it and call WPS at 800-450-7240 to report it.
