FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Just days after hearing his name called in the NFL Draft, Braelon Allen got his mom an early Mother’s Day gift.
Allen, who hails from Fond du Lac and played three seasons for the Wisconsin Badgers, surprised his mother with a new SUV. Allen was selected in the draft’s fourth round (134th overall) by the New York Jets.
Holiday Automotive in Fond du Lac shared the sweet story, along with a few pictures, in a Facebook post Wednesday.

20-year-old Allen is the youngest player in this year’s NFL Draft class. According to Spotrac, his contract is $4.673 million over four years. The deal includes a signing bonus of $653,544.
