(WNFL) – Well that was an ugly last couple of days at American Family Field, the Brewers giving up 15 runs on both Saturday and Sunday to drop 2 of 3 to the Yankees by 15-3 and 15-5 scores. Brewers manager Pat Murphy said that starting pitcher Tobias Myers pitched well on Sunday.
Myers gave up 5 hits and 4 runs over 5 innings. Abner Uribe took the loss in a brutal outing … 2/3 of an inning 5 runs all earned on 2 hits and 3 walks.
Murphy said one of the issues in Sunday’s loss was leaving too many guys on base.
Still, after a month, the Brewers are 17-10. How does Pat Murphy feel so far?
With that record, the Brewers are in first place, one-half game in front of the Chicago Cubs.
The Brewers play host to the Tampa Bay Rays tonight.
