The Bart Starr Memorial Bridge (Fox 11 Online)
GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Downtown Green Bay’s three bridges will close for spring cleaning next week.
The city’s public works department says the Donald A. Tilleman Memorial Bridge, which carries Mason Street over the Fox River, will close from 6 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday. Mason Street will be closed between S. Monroe and S. Ashland avenues. Drivers will be detoured onto S. Ashland Avenue, Walnut Street and S. Monroe Avenue.
On Wednesday, the Bart Starr Memorial Bridge, which carries Walnut Street over the Fox River, will close from 6 a.m.-3 p.m. Walnut Street will be closed between Washington Street and Broadway. Drivers will be detoured onto N. Broadway, Dousman Street and N. Monroe Avenue.
Then on Friday, crews plan to work on the Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge, which carries Dousman and Main streets over the Fox River, between 3:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. The road will be closed at N. Washington Street and N. Broadway. Drivers will be detoured onto N. Broadway, E. Walnut Street and N. Monroe Avenue.
The work is weather-dependent.
