MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — State Senate Republicans continue to fire Democratic Governor Tony Evers’ appointees.
On Tuesday they rejected former nurses union president Candance Owley, former state Representative Sondy Pope, and former Lieutenant Governor Barbara Lawton to the board of the UW Hospitals and Clinics Authority, as well as Todd Ambs to the Natural Resources Board.
In a statement announcing new nominees to all four positions, Evers said Senate Republicans have now “baselessly” fired 13 of his appointees.
