KELLNERSVILLE, WI (WTAQ) – One person is displaced after a fire inside a detached garage spread to a Manitowoc County home.
Multiple area fire departments responded to a home on County Rd. T, about five miles south of Kellnersville, around 11:30 a.m. Sunday for a fully-involved garage fire.
Firefighters say the flames extended to the east side of the nearby home, which caused water and smoke damage throughout.
The garage is a total loss and the home is uninhabitable.
A cost estimate for the damage is not known yet, however firefighters say at least two vehicles, a lawnmower, UTV, snowmobile and a small compact tractor were lost in the fire.
One firefighter was taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion, but no other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
