(PACKERS) – The Green Bay Packers have signed wide receiver Jakobie Keeney-James and guard/center Lecitus Smith from the practice squad to the active roster, placed guard/tackle Donovan Jennings and wide receiver Savion Williams on injured reserve, and elevated tight end Drake Dabney and linebacker Jamon Johnson from the practice squad to the active roster for gameday. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Saturday.
Keeney-James (6-0, 190), a rookie out of the University of Massachusetts, has been on the Packers’ practice squad since Sept. 23. He originally signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2025, and was with Detroit until being released at the end of training camp. In college, Keeney-James spent five seasons at Eastern Washington (2019-23) and one season at UMass (2024). Overall, Keeney-James played in 49 games, recording 111 receptions for 1,664 yards (15.0 avg.) and 10 touchdowns. He also carried the ball once for 6 yards and returned five kickoffs for 83 yards (16.6 avg.).
Smith (6-3, 314), a third-year player out of Virginia Tech, has spent most of the season on the Packers’ practice squad and was a gameday elevation for one contest. He was also with Green Bay during this past training camp and in 2024 was with the Packers in the offseason, training camp and on the practice squad for the first six weeks of the season. In 2024, he also spent time with the New England Patriots, appearing in eight games with one start, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Smith was originally selected in the sixth round (No. 215 overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals. He played in 10 games as a rookie for the Cardinals, opening two games at right guard. In 2023, he spent time on the practice squads of the Houston Texans and Philadelphia Eagles. Smith played in 45 games with 38 starts for the Hokies and was a two-time All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection (2019-20).
Hallf of Fame fan finalists: Ten finalists have been named in the search for the 28th member of the Packers FAN Hall of Fame, and voting has begun for fans to make the selection.
The first professional football team to have a hall of fame, the Green Bay Packers enhanced that distinction in 1998 by establishing a Packers FAN Hall of Fame. It was founded for the purpose of annually honoring a devout and longtime Packers fan.
Packers fans were asked to nominate themselves or a friend for the honor with an essay of 500 words or less, accompanied by a photo, explaining why he or she should be recognized. From those nominations, 10 finalists were selected by the Packers FAN Hall of Fame selection committee.
This year’s 10 finalists are:

- Jeff Lanier – Green Bay, Wis.
- Lorraine Mueller – Wittenberg, Wis.
- Mark Murphy – La Crosse, Wis.

- Daniel Schneider – Crystal Lake, Ill.
- Valerie Ann Smick – Yorkville, Ill.
- Patrick Suplicki – Stevens Point, Wis.
- Thomas Thrall – Durham, N.C.

The voting deadline is 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 31, 2026. Voters will be entered into a random drawing to win Packers merchandise.
The honoree’s selection will be announced in late February 2026. He or she will receive four club seats to a 2026 Packers home game, along with four pre-game sideline passes; four passes to the Packers Hall of Fame; custom Packers jersey; a $500 Packers Pro Shop gift certificate; and a one-year subscription to PackersNews.com.
The honoree also will have his or her name added to the list of FAN Hall of Fame honorees recognized in the Packers Hall of Fame.
