(247NEWSSOURCE) – The Minnesota Vikings will try to finish their season with a winning record when they host the Green Bay Packers at US Bank Stadium on Sunday.
The 8-and-8 Purple are on a four-game winning streak after taking down Detroit 23-10 last weekend.
The team hasn’t announced whether JJ McCarthy will return from his hand injury in the finale, but he has been practicing this week.
McCarthy says that he wants to end an up-and-down season with a strong performance.
Meanwhile, the 9-6-and-1 Packers are locked into the seven-seed in the NFC after losing to the Baltimore Ravens 41-24 at home last Saturday.
Clayton Tune will start at quarterback with Jordan Love and Malik Willis both recovering from injuries.
Tune says that he has to execute properly and precisely in order to have success against the Vikings defense.
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur says that he’s excited to see Tune have an opportunity to showcase his talent.
Green Bay beat Minnesota 23-6 when the two teams met at Lambeau on November 23rd.
