(WIAC) – University of Wisconsin-La Crosse will face St. Catherine University (Minn.) in the first round of the NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Championship in Chicago, on Nov. 15
The Eagles secured an automatic bid into the 64-team field by winning the WIAC Tournament (presented by Culver’s). UW-La Crosse (18-2-1) will make its fifth straight NCAA appearance and eighth overall.
The winner of the UW-La Crosse/St. Catherine match will face either University of Chicago (12-2-3) or UW-Superior (11-7-4) in a second-round contest on Nov. 16.
UW-Eau Claire and UW-Whitewater Secure NCAA Men’s Soccer Bids: University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and UW-Whitewater have secured bids into the NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Championship.
UW-Eau Claire (12-2-4) earned an automatic bid after winning the WIAC Tournament (presented by Culver’s), while UW-Whitewater (14-3-2) received one of 21 at-large bids into the 64-team field.
UW-Eau Claire will meet Milwaukee School of Engineering (14-5-3) in a first-round contest in Minneapolis, Minn., with the winner facing off against Macalester College (Minn.) (15-4-0) or Illinois Wesleyan University (13-2-4) in a second-round match. UW-Eau Claire is making its fourth straight NCAA appearance and advanced to the Elite Eight a year ago.
UW-Whitewater will host first- and second-round action, and open against Washington University in St. Louis (Mo.) (13-3-0). The winner will play either University of Chicago (Ill.) (11-2-5) or DePauw University (Ind.) (12-2-5) in the second round. This will mark UW-Whitewater’s 15th NCAA appearance and first since the 2019 campaign.
First-round contests at both locations will be held Nov. 15, and second-round matches conducted Nov. 16.
