GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – During the 24 hours of Give BIG Green Bay 2025, a record $3.53 million was raised to support 50 local nonprofits working to meet needs in every corner of the community — bringing the event’s eight-year total to more than $17 million generated for 154 nonprofits in Brown County.
The 8th annual giving day inspired a record 5,868 donors to make 10,596 gifts to the participating nonprofits of their choosing. More than 40% identified themselves as new donors to at least one organization they supported. These milestones highlight Give BIG Green Bay’s impact of raising awareness and connecting new supporters to the vital work of local nonprofits.
“More people than ever participated, spread awareness, and rallied support for the causes they care about, proving that every contribution plays a vital role in strengthening our community,” said Annie Dart, Vice President of Donor Relations & Communications. “We saw increases in every metric we track – from the number of $10 gifts, to Business Boost engagement, to overall dollars raised. It’s incredible to see the growing enthusiasm for this giving day and the support it provides to nonprofits making a difference across our community.”
Give BIG Green Bay 2025 provided more than $500,000 in matching funds, thanks to a $250,000 impact grant from the Green Bay Packers Foundation and contributions from generous community donors. Donors who opted to help “increase the match” contributed an additional $30,421, ensuring that every dollar donated goes even further to impact all 50 organizations.
Of the 50 participating nonprofits, three will receive a $5,000 incentive for securing the most unique donors in their size category: You Belong Together, Casa ALBA Melanie, and Wisconsin Humane Society Green Bay Campus.
The Mark Murphy Give BIG Green Bay Spirit Award was presented for the first time to Howe Community Resource Center for best embodying the values and spirit of Give BIG Green Bay, as voted on by their peers. As the award recipient, Howe Community Resource Center received a $1,000 incentive to further its mission and a commemorative football signed by Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy. The award will be presented annually to honor the collaborative spirit of the event while celebrating Murphy’s lasting impact on our community.
The Greater Green Bay Community Foundation underwrites all program expenses, allowing 100% of all donations, match dollars, and incentives to support the work of local nonprofits. Participating nonprofits will receive a portion of the match based on the percentage of dollars they raised.
