APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Appleton Public Library is ready to start its new chapter.
The public grand opening for the newly renovated library at 225 N. Oneida Street will be Saturday, Feb. 15 at 9 a.m.
It will feature a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 a.m., guided tours, library card signups and family-friendly activities throughout the day.
After years in the making, the $40 million project broke ground in July of 2023. Throughout that time, the library has operated in temporary spaces.
Just before Thanksgiving, the library’s last temporary location closed so the library could move into its renovated space.
The new library features study rooms, creation studios, teen areas, children’s play area and discovery room, a sensory room, learning stairs and a gallery/display.
