STEPHENSON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Speed and loss of control are believed to be factors in a fatal crash between a vehicle and a RV motorhome in Marinette County.
It happened at 11:13 a.m. Sunday on Parkway Road near Johnson Falls Road in the town of Stephenson.
Officials say a vehicle, driven by a 58-year-old Crivitz man, was going north on Parkway Road and went left of center just north of Johnson Falls Road and collided head-on with a RV motorhome traveling south.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Kent Klempke, was not wearing a seatbelt and died from his injuries.
The driver of the RV motorhome, a 54-year-old woman from Woodstock, Illinois, was taken to the hospital as were other passengers from both vehicles.
