RIPON, WI (WTAQ) – Kamala Harris went to the birthplace of the Republican Party in Wisconsin to try to flip some Republican votes.
Harris campaigned yesterday with Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney in Ripon, Wisconsin. Cheney, who has a long history of clashing with former President Trump, told the crowd of Democrats that she is choosing ‘country over party’ by endorsing Harris in next month’s election. Cheney said she’s never voted for a Democrat before, but says she’ll be voting for Harris this time around.
Harris has a four-point lead in the presidential race here in Wisconsin.
Meanwhile, former President Trump, who has made two campaign stops in Wisconsin already this week, will be back in the Badger state this weekend.
He’s set to campaign in Juneau on Sunday.
