(WNFL/LEARFIELD) MADISON – Coach Luke Fickell says starting quarterback Braedyn Locke is showing leadership ability as he assumes control of the Badgers offense. in anticipation of this Saturday’s game against USC.
Locke is the starter because Tyler Van Dyke is out for the season with a knee injury.
Locke said that he understands the opportunity in front of him.
Locke said he is fully aware of his situation at QB..
Ideally, Locke said that they want to be aggressive on offense.
With the in mind, Locke said that even though he and Tyler Van Dyke don’t have identical skill sets, the offense will change a little with him at quarterback.
His first start was against perennial powerhouse Alabama. Locke started some games last year and Fickell thinks the transition will be easier for him because of his experience.
The Badgers and USC kickoff at 2:30 Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles.
