Motorcyclist killed in crash involving semi in town of Buchanan. PC: Fox 11 Online
TOWN OF BUCHANAN, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A 19-year-old Brillion woman is dead after a crash involving a semi and motorcycle.
At 5:46 p.m. Tuesday night, the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the intersection of County Trunk CE/County Trunk GG in the Town for Buchanan.
The preliminary investigation revealed a semi tractor/trailer driven by a 27-year-old Kaukauna man was driving south on GG when it was struck by the 19-year-old motorcyclist who was traveling westbound on CE.
Despite lifesaving measures, the motorcyclist succumbed to her injuries.
The semi driver was not injured.
The intersection was closed for over four hours.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash are asked to call the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office at (920) 832-5000 and reference incident O24042060.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by a number of agencies including the Wisconsin State Patrol and Outagamie County Highway Department.
