TWO RIVERS, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Lakeshore Humane Society in Manitowoc is holding a capital campaign to help reach their goal of constructing a new shelter building.
Dog Days of Summer runs through Sunday, Aug. 25. The week-long event brings businesses in neighboring Two Rivers and the humane society together to raise money and collect items necessary for the shelter.
The humane society has raised $1.8 million out of a $3.8 million goal.
On top of monetary donations, they’re accepting “shelter wish list” donations. Items include: food, litter and blankets.
