TOWN OF SCOTT, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — One person is dead and two others injured after a crash Thursday in Brown County.
Shortly after 12:15 p.m., several agencies responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries on northbound State Highway 57 at Gerzek Road in the town of Scott.
Initial investigation reveals a vehicle driven by a 49-year-old man from the town of Scott was traveling southbound on State Highway 57 when he attempted to turn left onto Gersek Road.
While navigating the turn, he was struck by another vehicle traveling northbound, driven by a 65-year-old Arizona man.
The 49-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The 65-year-old man and his 60-year-old female passenger were taken to a hospital to receive medical care.
Names have not yet been released. An investigation is ongoing.
North and southbound lanes were closed for a short time to facilitate a landing zone for Eagle III. A northbound lane was then partially closed for approximately three hours. All lanes of traffic have reopened.
