FOND DU LAC COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A motorcyclist traveling 116 miles per hour was pulled over by a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputy.
In a Facebook post Monday, the Sheriff’s Office wrote:
At 116 mph it’s not easy, nor legal, to enjoy our beautiful sunsets. Stick to the posted speed limit on our highways and take in the scenery around you at a safer speed. Motorcycles are more difficult for other drivers to spot, and no one is expecting you to approach them at double the speed limit.
It comes just one week after the Sheriff’s Office asked for the public’s help to identify a motorcyclist seen driving recklessly and well over the speed limit on numerous occasions. That motorcyclist has since turned himself in.
