GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Inspection of one of downtown Green Bay’s bridges will affect both boat operators and vehicle drivers.
Green Bay public works officials say the Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge, which carries Dousman and Main streets across the Fox River, will be inspected on May 28 and 29. Boat operators will need to give two-hour notice to the bridgetender if they need the bridge to open between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on those days.
For drivers, single lanes will be closed during those hours. Backups may result.
Operations are weather-dependent.
