OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A woman says she came home to find someone standing in her bedroom over the weekend in Oshkosh.
Police say it happened around 1 a.m. Sunday in the 800 block of John Street. The victim told police when she came home, a male was standing next to her unoccupied bed. She screamed and left; when she returned, the intruder was no longer there.
The victim described the male as being around 6-foot-2. He was wearing a ski mask, a black shirt and skinny jeans.
Officers are asking people in the area to check surveillance cameras to see if they recorded video of the male.
The incident is similar to two incidents reported last month in Oshkosh.
Police remind citizens to lock windows and doors, make sure video surveillance cameras are working and to immediately report suspicious people and situations to police.
