TOWN OF BUCHANAN, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Multiple agencies worked together for more than three hours Monday to extinguish a barn fire in Outagamie County.
The north end of the barn, located at N296 Loderbauer Road in Buchanan, was “fully involved” when crews arrived. Several structures were in close proximity to the fire.
Neighboring departments in Combined Locks, Hollandtown and Wrightstown responded to assist Buchanan’s Fire & Rescue in fighting the blaze.
The barn was filled with hay and was in the process of being dismantled… Crews worked quickly to knock down the flames and an excavator from Seven Oaks Dairy was called to help dismantle portions of the barn and piled hay to ensure the fire was out.
Officials deemed the cause of the fire accidental. Damage is undetermined at this time due to the age and condition of the structure.
