His sentiments were reiterated by Vue’s aunt and grandmother, who asked the public — a community who has already been so supportive — to keep trying to find Elijah and help bring him home.
Vue’s paternal grandmother said, “I want everybody to continue to help us look for my grandson. I want my grandson to be home with my family, so I want everybody searching. Don’t stop.”
His family struggled to find words to describe their pain, saying Elijah is a joyful, curious boy who is full of life and love.
According to Vue’s aunt, Linda Vue, “We cannot express the depth of our sorrow, nor the desperation that consumes us as each moment passes without news of Elijah’s safety.”
For days, the family of Elijah Vue has been organizing volunteer searches, out of the Mikadow Theater in Manitowoc, for the little boy, and the community has stepped up to help every step of the way.
Vue’s family pleaded with the public Tuesday, begging anyone with information about Elijah’s whereabouts to come forward so they can find him — and bring him home safely.
“Every day without him feels like a piece of our hearts is missing. We long to hear his laughter, to witness his curiosity and to feel the warmth of his embrace. The emptiness left in his absence is a void that cannot be filled by anything else,” said Linda Vue.
Speaking directly to her nephew Elijah, who’s been missing since at least Feb. 20, Linda Vue said, “If you can hear us, know that you are deeply missed and loved and we will not rest until you are safely back in our arms.”
While the Vue family does not have an organized search planned for Wednesday, they will be back at the Mikadow Theater on Thursday welcoming volunteers to help search for Elijah Vue.
An Amber Alert for Vue remains active. The FBI is offering a $15,000 reward for information that leads to finding him and Local Crime Stoppers is also offering a $1,000 reward. Anyone with information is asked to call 1-844-267-6648.
