MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A man who allegedly went to a park planning to meet a 13-year-old for sex pleaded not guilty Thursday.
Heath Grebe, 36, is charged with attempted second-degree sexual assault of a child, and using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime.
Grebe also waived his preliminary hearing Thursday. No trial date was set. He returns to court May 7 for a status conference.
According to the probable cause statement, police were called to Lincoln Park for a report of someone there planning to meet a 13-year-old for sex. Police reviewed text messages between Grebe and the teen, in which the man describes a variety of sexual acts he would like to engage in.
Police dispatch was notified of the meeting by a group called “Bikers Against Predators,” the probable cause statement says.
