GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Those affected by last week’s apartment fire in Green Bay will have the chance to connect with help Thursday afternoon.
The American Red Cross is opening what it calls a multi-agency resource center from 2-6 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 330 S. Broadway.
August Manor residents will be able to access essential services and resources from disaster relief workers and community providers.
Those who would like to help the fire victims can donate online or by calling 1-800-733-2767.
The Red Cross says that donations of clothing and household items take resources away from relief efforts because workers need to store, sort, clean and distribute donated items. Financial donations, on the other hand, provide flexibility to give people what they need most, such as replacing prescription medications or reading glasses.
