(WTAQ-WLUK) — After thunderstorms across Northeast Wisconsin left behind damage, communities are scheduling storm damage pickup.
Manitowoc’s emergency storm brush pickup is set for Wednesday, Aug. 9. All brush must be on the terrace, between the sidewalk and the street, before 6 a.m.
This one-time pickup with cover the entire city and is expected to take several days to complete, but crews will pickup on each street only once.
Items that are placed for pickup must comply with the Manitowoc County Compost Sites’ requirements.
Public works officials in Neenah said that storm debris must be placed in the terrace for pick up, although no specific dates or times were offered.
They also asked residents to report trees or limbs in contact with power lines to We Energies at 800-242-9137 or to Spectrum at 866-874-2389.
“City staff is currently assessing storm damage, prioritizing safety concerns and working to address debris which may be blocking streets, sidewalks, or other right of ways,” said a City of Neenah Facebook post.
