FOND DU LAC COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An Oshkosh man out on bond for several felony drug charges is back in jail after a Fond du Lac County deputy said marijuana was in plain sight during a traffic stop.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says the man was stopped for a traffic violation, and the deputy could clearly see marijuana inside the vehicle. The deputy then searched the vehicle, as illegal drugs in plain sight is probable cause to search.
The sheriff’s office says the deputy found 36 grams of crack and cocaine powder in the vehicle.
The man was out on $1,000 cash bond for three felony counts of manufacture and delivery of cocaine and one felony count of possession with intent to deliver cocaine in Winnebago County.
He is now in custody in the Fond du Lac County Jail, where he faces several new charges.
