FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A suspected serial arsonist has been charged with seven counts in Fond du Lac County and one in Washington County.
The Fond du Lac County charges were filed Thursday against Daniel Enright, 40, of Eden.
The charges stem from fires between March 2020 and April 2022.
According to the criminal complaint, Enright admitted lighting the fires.
“He lit fires to relieve stress and some of his stress started with the birth of his child three years ago,” prosecutors say in the document.
The fires were lit in marshy and grassy areas.
If convicted on all counts in both counties, Enright faces up to 37 1/2 years in prison.
Enright is due to make an initial appearance in Washington County court June 5.
