GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Two finalists are being considered for the next superintendent of the Green Bay Area Public School District.
The finalists are Jenny Risner and Claude Tiller.
Risner is currently director of special services for the Seaside School District in Oregon. She has also been a school superintendent in Ames, Iowa, and Long Beach, Washington.
Tiller is currently assistant superintendent over high school transformation with the Detroit school district. He previously worked for the Michigan Department of Education.
Risner will be available to meet with the public on Monday. Tiller will be available to meet with the public on Tuesday. Both sessions run from 5-6 p.m. in room 331 of the district office building, 200 S. Broadway.
Green Bay has been looking for a new superintendent since April, when Stephen Murley stepped down, citing health reasons. Vicki Bayer has been serving as interim superintendent since then.
The new superintendent will start on July 1.
