TOWN OF LAWRENCE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Macht Village Programs is expecting to be fully operational later this week after experiencing a devastating fire just last Thursday.
The morning fire damaged the Town of Lawrence location beyond repair as vehicles were stalled during the morning commute on Highway 41. The destroyed building housed the main administrative office, the school program and space used for after school programming.
Less than a week later, though, the company is expecting to have their programs up and running again at an alternate location.
Macht Village Programs, Inc. CEO Tim Macht said Monday that his team is aiming to be fully operational as early as Wednesday.
He says they’ve identified a new location to continue their work to support youth with emotional and behavioral struggles. On Sunday, they officially took possession of that new facility and are now in the process of furnishing the space.
Macht says the cause of the fire is still unknown but that his team is working with investigators as the review continues.
