MADISON, WI (WRN) – Governor Tony Evers says he’s expecting Republicans to continue to try and legislate away the results of the 2020 presidential election.
“I believe they will continue doing this until Donald Trump is six feet under. So we fully anticipate that. This is Donald Trump pushing this issue.”
Speaking at an event in Madison, Democrat Evers says he’s not surprised at the continued efforts.
“Well they’ll probably investigate it till they’re six feet under that that’s what they get their kicks out of.”
Two of the Republican candidates for Governor, Tim Michels, and Tim Ramthun have said they will vote for and enact stricter voting regulations, and Ramthun continues to want to decertify the 2020 election.
Michels also said he is pro-life and will work to retain the abortion ban on the books that only allows an exception for the life of the mother.
