Congratulations William Silfies, our recipient of the “Salute to Our Soldiers” from Window World of Green Bay.
William Dropped out of high school before graduation to join the army. He served at “Heartbreak Ridge” in Korea and got his GED while in the service. On Monday 10/4/2021 he was on the radio and talked about the best part of the Packer game Sunday was when one of the flyover pilots came into the skybox to get all of the other pilots because there was a 91 year old veteran that wanted a picture with them. That was Bill. It was his first packer game and first professional sports game. I was there with him and took the attached picture. It was the best part of the game for us also.
