The Green Bay Packers announced contract agreements with both of their fourth round draft choices on Thursday. Offensive lineman Zach Tom from Wake Forest and Nevada wide receiver Romeo Doubs signed their rookie deals leaving only second round pick, receiver Christian Watson from North Dakota State without a contract. That should be finalized in short order with the NFL adopting a rookie wage scale where financial terms are established based on where the player is selected.
The Packers wrapped up the first week of Organized Team Activities with a third practice on Thursday. The team will take a break over the Memorial Day weekend but resume OTA’s next week. The mandatory mini-camp is set for June 7-9 before the third and final week of the off-season program.
The team also announced Player Personnel Executive Lee Gissendaner will represent the team at the Stanford-NFL League of Leaders executive education program June 5-10 in Palo Alto, California. 40 leaders from NFL teams participate in a partnership with the Stanford Graduate School of Business in a program that accelerates development of senior-level talent. Gissendaner is in his 22nd year with the Packers, the fifth in his current role.
